Notifications
PrepAI delivers updates through two channels — push notifications and an in-app notification centre — covering peer-review activity, mock-interview events, streak reminders, and product announcements. Notifications are opt-in and designed to help you keep a habit, not to nag.
Two channels
- Push notifications reach you even when the app isn't open — on the web (web push) and on the native Android app. They're useful for time-sensitive nudges like "your review is ready" or a gentle streak reminder.
- The in-app notification centre collects everything in one place inside the app, so you can catch up on what happened while you were away.
What you get notified about
| Type | Example |
|---|---|
| Peer reviews | Someone reviewed your solution, or a submission needs a reviewer. |
| Mock interviews | A peer/mentor session is scheduled or feedback is available. |
| Streaks & habits | A reminder to keep your practice streak alive. |
| Announcements | New tracks, features, or important product news. |
Permission and control
Push notifications require your permission, which the browser or OS prompts for. PrepAI asks at a sensible moment rather than the instant you arrive, and you can change your mind later in your device or browser settings. If you decline, the app keeps working — you'll simply see updates in the in-app centre instead.
Tips
- Enable streak reminders if you struggle to practise consistently; a daily nudge is the cheapest habit hack.
- Use the in-app centre as your catch-up inbox after a few days away.
- Tune permissions at the OS/browser level any time — PrepAI honours your choice.
